Pneu Pavilion

Project: City of Dreams Pavilion Competition

Location: University at Buffalo, School of Architecture

Year: 2015

Role: Model Builder, 3D Artist

Software: Rhino 7, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Photoshop

This installation was submitted to the “City of Dreams Pavilion Competition”. The canopy of the pavilion was made from recycled inflatable rubber inner-tubes wrapped in wire mesh to create ‘donut’ like shapes that allow light to penetrate through. The moire effect would provide interesting views through each ‘donut’ when viewed from underneath. The columns were made of heavy acrylic tubing, while being supported by thin gauge cabling that held the entire structure up.
